2009 is offering some exciting opportunities for the Music Ministry of Dr. Audie. Those opportunities also placed a hardship on his appearance schedule. Dr. Rhodes had to set aside his tours and concerts to prepare for the expansion of his Music Ministry into Radio. Unlike the majority of the Christian Music programming offered today of music selected by a program director or simply playing a CD, his program will be an offering to his audience by scheduling what they want to hear through their request. And although the music played will be asked for by a listener of the program, that same song will invoke and touch the hearts of many others as well. Whether it be a joyful noise unto the Lord celebrating the birth of a child, the joining of a couple in matrimony, or perhaps a favored melody in memory of a loved one that has joined Our Father in Heaven, many others will feel the blessing of that song. His program will be a reflection of his listeners in their joys and sorrows knowing well that each of those that have a personal request will reach out to many others as he plays. He knows that each and every request that comes to him is the Spirit of Our Lord Christ Jesus working through the faithful of His Kingdom to reach out to those in need.
If you would like to hear this program, please contact your local Christian Station and ask them to make arrangements to have this inspirational program included in their local lineup. Also let them know that Dr. Rhodes is making available to them at no charge "fillers" of piano music in the length of 2 to 4 minutes.
FAITH BASED SCHOOL OF FINE ARTS OUTREACH PROGRAM
Another project that is close to the heart of Dr. Audie is the ongoing outreach for churches wanting to start a School of Fine Arts. It's mission is to give to the youth in a community the opportunity to study music and fine arts. The unique thing is the program is open to all students including those that would ordinarily NOT be able to afford lessons. Many talented young people today are denied the chance to give back to the world what God has given to them because of inability to pay for lessons to develop that talent. A school campus is opened in an area through the generous hospitality of a local church that furnishes a wholesome and Christian atmosphere in which to teach. This not only gives the student a place to learn but introduces many of them to Christian friends and life that they may otherwise never experience. Dr. Audie Lee Rhodes has been involved in the music ministry for over 45 years in some capacity. Either as a Minister of Music, Director of Worship, Pianist/Organist, Choir Director, Concert Artist, or Teacher. There have been times that are good, and times that have been tough, but through it all, the music has always been a consistent message of hope for a home in heaven. Dr. Audie has had the opportunity to go towns and cities in both the U.S. and many foreign countries to spread the love of God to a dying world. He has gone to a lot of places that many will never get to see, or experience and he counts it a blessing.
PROGRESS REPORT
The good news is that most all of the details have been worked out and we are very close to airtime now for the radio and some scholarships are in place for students at the school campuses. There is now time to once again schedule concerts and appearances of Dr. Audie. We appreciate the patience, understanding, and kindness of those that have experienced one of Dr. Audie's programs in the past and have invited him back. For those that have not had a concert and are looking for that something special to offer their congregation, convention, retreat, or meeting, we would be honored to have you consider Dr. Audie for that event.
